How does the registrant implement the newly added inspection methods in the Safety Technical Specification for Cosmetics
In recent years, the National Medical Products Administration has successively issued relevant notices on the revision of the "Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification (2015 Edition)", such as the "Notice on Including 21 revision items, including the pH value determination method for oil-in-water cosmetics, into the Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification (2015 Edition)" (No. 41 of 2023) issued on August 28, 2023. Some of the newly added inspection items and methods are closely related to the cosmetics registration work, such as the "pH value determination method for oil-in-water cosmetics" and the "Inspection method for 15 raw materials, including 2-amino-4-hydroxyethylaminoanisole sulfate, in cosmetics". According to relevant requirements, if the application for registration of a product involves adding new inspection items and methods, the inspection report of the relevant inspection items of the registered product should be provided in accordance with the requirements of the "Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification" and the "Cosmetic Registration and Filing Inspection Work Specification". At the same time, relevant control indicators, quality control measures, and brief explanations should be set in the product execution standards. If the inspection items in the registration inspection report provided by the product that has been applied for registration are inconsistent with the "Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification" after the announcement is issued and implemented, the inspection report for the newly added inspection items should be supplemented and completed in a timely manner. The above inspection report and relevant product execution standards should be submitted when applying for the extension of the product registration certificate. |
